As our team keeps growing, we are looking to hire a Junior Energy Market Analyst, based at our Thessaloniki office.

In this role, you will get to work with international clientele and contacts. You will enhance your analytics skills and develop your profile as a well-versed energy sector expert with detailed knowledge of markets across the globe. The role will include:

  • Performing electricity market and electricity system research to uncover insights that drive strategic recommendations to clients
  • Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research findings into informative and easy-to-understand deliverables to our clients
  • Understanding the fundamentals of energy markets operations, drivers of energy prices, and how energy policies can affect clients’ operations and strategic decisions on a detailed level
  • Continuous collaboration with colleagues and external contacts
  • Understanding client needs and identifying opportunities regarding strategic development, renewable energy procurement and ancillary markets in fast-changing energy markets around the globe
  • Potential participation in public energy research projects
  • Prospect of involvement in project management, quality control and innovations, knowledge management and guidance of new colleagues

 

We require you to have:

  • Relevant master’s degree, for example: electrical engineering, energy engineering, economics, or other energy-related majors
  • Good understanding of energy markets (such as price formation & drivers, policies & regulations)
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset, well-structured and thorough approach to working
  • Ability to consistently produce completely clear and neat documents, in terms of structure, language, and formatting

  • Demonstrated experience regarding energy markets/data analytics/research/energy policy
